Having returned from Iceland in mid-December 2014, I am now “processing” the profound influence of place that I experienced during my 2 month residency at Listhus. My small blue paintings may be an indication of where I will be going when I start my next series of woodblock prints. It is fascinating to me how these processes of image making intersect and influence each the other.
I am very excited to share my new artwork with you. If you are unable to attend the opening event but find yourself in Philadelphia during the run of the exhibition, please feel free to get in touch with me, I’d be more than happy to meet you there if I can.

These are great, Andrea. I’ve been to Iceland. Wonderful place…
Thanks for taking the time to check in on my blog! Yes, Iceland is a wonderful place, a profoundly peaceful and quiet place. I’m going back in the fall to re-charge my spirit.
